Veržej, Slovenia - March 13, 2020 - Around 40 Salesians from the Province of Slovenia (SLO) gathered at the Salesian house "Marianum" in Veržej from 8 to 13 March for the annual spiritual exercises. The preacher Fr Maks Ipavec, priest of the archdiocese of Ljubljana and parish priest, chose the theme inspired by the biblical verse "All I can in Him who gives me strength" (Phil 4:13). The speaker, with simplicity and serenity, but above all with spirituality and testimony, lit the fire of faith in the Lord in the participants, through prayer and mission according to the Salesian charism. The SLO Provincial Vicar, Fr Peter Končan, SDB, on account of the early conclusion due to the coronavirus epidemic in Slovenia, on behalf of the Provincial, gave the Salesians two recommendations: try to create spaces of prayer with young people and live loving-kindness in the Salesian and educational-pastoral communities.
