USA - Salesians help homeless people in East Los Angeles
Los Angeles, United States - January 2020 - The Salesian Family Youth Center hosts homeless people from East Los Angeles once a month, providing them with a place to meet and share God's love. Starting this activity was Johnny Martinez, with the support of a group of young adults, in order to serve God among the less fortunate. The meetings traditionally start at 7 pm with a welcome and opening prayer; then they read a few passages from the Bible and comment on it together. The meeting ends with a closing prayer. Also, with the help of volunteers, food and desserts for the homeless are prepared on feast days.
