Ukraine - New Salesian school in Zhytomyr
Zhytomyr, Ukraine - January 2020 - The private Ukrainian-Italian school "Vsesvit" in Zhytomyr has become a Salesian school. On January 24, after several years of cooperation and preparation, the related document was signed by Vitaliy Nagalevskiy, representative of the charitable foundation "Arka", and Fr Marian Kuc, SDB, director and pastor of the Salesian presence in Korostyshiv (Ukraine). The "Vsesvit" school was founded in 1994 by a group of parents and Italian patrons. Education in the school, where around 200 young people study today, is based on Christian values and principles of inclusion. The "Vsesvit" Salesian school will become part of a vast network of Salesian educational institutions inspired by Don Bosco's preventive system.
