Australia - 60 young people of "Don Bosco Camp and Center" clean up "Safety Beach"
Victoria, Australia - December 2019 - On 3 December, for world gift day, the "Giving Tuesday" celebrated by over 150 countries worldwide, 60 young people from the "Don Bosco Camp and Center" cleaned up the beach of "Safety Beach". The young people, who follow a leadership course, challenged the strong cold ocean wind to collect many garbage bags of rubbish, especially plastics and bottles. They were also surprised to find chairs and mailboxes. Paul Poutney, director of the "Don Bosco Camp and Center", said: "When we heard about 'Giving Tuesday' we realized that it would be the perfect opportunity for our young leaders to take on a charity project for the benefit of an entire community."
