Germany - IX "EuroProjects" meeting of Salesian schools and Vocational Training Centers
Aschau, Germany - November 2019 – Taking place from November 13 to 16 was the IX "EuroProjects" meeting of the Salesian schools and Vocational Training Centers (VTC). More than 50 participants from 6 European countries attended the meeting, a chance to find partners for future projects and also receive training on European Union funds for youth projects. The Salesian Province of Germany (GER) organized a visit to the local VTC and social center, and illustrated the dual system used in Germany. In addition, a new EU-funded project was also presented to strengthen and support the Sales Network of VTCs in Europe. This annual meeting bears witness to the important contribution of many lay people who are jointly responsible for the Salesian mission for Europe's most vulnerable young people. The meeting was also attended by Fr Tarcizio Morais, SDB, of the Youth Ministry Department, Coordinator of Salesian Schools and VTC, and Renato Cursi, Executive Secretary of Don Bosco International (DBI).
