Makati City, Philippines - October 2019 - The "Youth Congress" of the Salesians of the North Philippines Province (FIN) took place on 24 and 25 October, the culmination of the "synodal" process - understood as a common path - that the Salesians have undertaken with the laity, adults and young people, from the Province. The event was opened by the Eucharistic celebration presided by Msgr. Patrick Buzon, SDB, bishop of the diocese of Bacolod, and continued with words from Fr Joebeth Vivo, SDB, Head of the FIN Youth Ministry Commission, and Fr Renato De Guzman, SDB, participant in the 2018 Synod on Youth, which presented the working document of the Youth Congress (elaborated on the model of the Synod's Instrumentum Laboris) and accompanied the various sub-groups in developing innovative and creative lines of action. On the second day, each group presented its work for discussion and approval in the final document, which will be presented to the Provincial Council.
