Portugal - St. Joseph Parish of Setúbal entrusted to Salesians
Setúbal, Portugal - September 2019 - The parish of Saint Joseph in Setúbal has been entrusted to a community of Salesian priests. On 7 September, Msgr. José Ornelas, bishop of the Diocese of Setúbal, presided over the inauguration ceremony of the three new parish priests "in solidum": Fr Luís Gonzaga Belo, Fr Álvaro Lago and Fr Agostinho Silva, who inaugurated the first Salesian presence in the diocese. The Salesians, in addition to animating the parish, will also contribute to the Youth Ministry of the diocese and to the University Pastoral of the Setúbal Polytechnic. Aso present: Fr José Aníbal Mendoça, Superior of the Salesian Province of Portugal.
