Ecuador - Council Meeting of Salesian Family
Quito, Ecuador - 15 August 2019 - On the eve of the celebration of the 204th anniversary of the birth of Don Bosco, over 30 representatives of the Councils of the different branches of the Salesian Family of Ecuador gathered at the Salesian Provincial House to establish criteria and common lines of actions for animation and joint work on three axes: volunteering, emerging attention to migrants and refugees, animation and formation. Present at the meeting were Fr Francisco Sánchez, Salesian Provincial (SDB); Sr. Cruz María Piña, Provincial of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA); and Sr. Luz Margoth Morales, Provincial Superior of the Daughters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary (HHSSCC). The Salesian Family of Ecuador is currently made up of 1,849 members.
