Fuiloro, East Timor - 15 August 2019 - On the Feast of the Assumption, 7 deacons belonging to the East Timor Vice Province were ordained priests by the bishop of Baucau, Msgr. Basílio do Nascimento. About 70 priests participated in the solemn celebration, including the superiors of Portugal and East Timor, representatives of the Province of Australia and the Northern Philippines and numerous lay people. The 7 new priests conducted their Theological studies in Portugal, Australia and the Northern Philippines, before returning to East Timor for ordination.
