Italy - "Salesiani Don Bosco Caserta" Orchestra wins two awards
Caserta, Italy - May 2019 – Shortly after its birth, the "Salesiani Don Bosco Caserta" Orchestra has won two first prizes: the “International Young Promises Competition” and the "Smim FarMusica 2019" Orchestra Competition for Orchestras. The "Orchestra" project is brought forth by the director of the Salesians of Caserta, Fr Gino Martucci, by the music professor of the Salesian school, Maestro Enzo Anastasio, and by professor Massimo Barone. The pop orchestra is composed of 76 elements, all students of the Salesian school (elementary, middle and high) directed by Maestro Anastasio, who also takes care of the musical arrangements. The orchestra's annual cycle will end May 27 with a big concert at the Salesian theater in Caserta.
