Portugal - New bishop of Funchal visits Salesian Institute
Funchal, Portugal - February 2019 - On February 26, the new bishop of Funchal, Msgr. Nuno Brás, visited the Institute of the Salesians in Funchal. The bishop was welcomed by the director, Fr José Jorge Gomes, and by his vicar and coordinator for Youth Ministry, Fr David Teixeira, together with a group of students, professors and collaborators. Mons. Brás was visibly satisfied with the work carried out by the institution in its 65 years of activity. He underscored that, with an average of 250 pupils educated each year, the institute has given an educational imprint to the society of Funchal.
