Philippines - Peregrination of statue of Our Lady of Peace and of Good Journey
Parañaque, Philippines - 22nd January 2019 - The statue of the miraculous and historical "Our Lady of Peace and Good Journey", popularly known as the Madonna of Antipolo, arrived in a pilgrimage to the "Don Bosco Study Center" of Parañaque. The theologate community welcomed the statue, carrying it into the chapel, accompanying it with Marian songs. Sister Eppie Yago, President of the National Ministry of Sanctuaries, presented the history of the statue, explaining its religious, cultural and historical importance. The statue of Our Lady of Peace and Good Journey arrived for the first time in the Philippines on June 18, 1628, from Acapulco, Mexico.
