Ecuador - January 2019 - On January 31, on the occasion of the feast of Don Bosco, in the various Salesian centers in the areas of the Sierra, Costa and Amazzonia, the Salesian National Games 2019 were opened, with competitions in 9 sports disciplines, under the motto: "Holiness for you too". Fr Francisco Sánchez, Provincial of Ecuador, invited young people to participate, emphasizing the importance of sport as an instrument of evangelization, to create friendships, to grow in values and to develop talents to be placed at the service of the family, society and Salesian work. The games will take place throughout the year and will end in December with a running competition through the main streets of the city of Riobamba.
