Slovenia - Bringing Christmas greetings to over 300 families
Ljubljana, Slovenia - 26 December 2018 - The Salesians of the parish of Ljubljana-Rakovnik began a special pastoral project over 25 years ago: the visit of the three Magi to families during the period between Christmas and Epiphany to bring Christmas greetings and blessings in the their houses. This is now a widespread project in many parishes of all six Slovenian dioceses, under the guidance of the National Office for the Missions. The young people of the Salesian Youth Center in Rakovnik faithfully continue this initiative every year. At Christmas, led by the director of the youth center, Fr Jure Babnik, SDB, of the Salesian chaplain Janez Suhoveršnik, and other young Salesians in formation, plus over 100 children and young people, divided into 20 groups, visited over 300 families living in the city's outskirts, bringing them their season's greetings and best wishes.
