Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Italy - December 17, 2018 – Taking place last weekend at Colle Don Bosco was the meeting of the directors of the prenovitiates of the Mediterranean Region, led by Fr Francisco Santos, a member of the Dicastery for Education. The themes revolved around the reality in the pastoral and educational contexts experienced in each of the provinces, the activities that the pre-novices do during the time prior to life in community for the fulfilment of the pre-novitiate, personal accompaniment offered them and the various resources used. A good part of the meeting was dedicated to the evaluation of the summer experience for the prenovices of the two regions of Europe at Colle Don Bosco. Work proceeds to ensure it continues to be an experience of help towards the insertion of all the pre-novices in that milestone for the Salesian life that is the novitiate itself. The meeting ended with an overall positive impression, what with the shared dialogue and the common journey undertaken. In October next year a new meeting with the Masters of Novices is scheduled in Rome.
