South Korea - Rector Major's Visit has begun
Seoul, South Korea - November 2018 - On 13 November, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, accompanied by his secretary, Fr Horacio López, and Fr Václav Klement, Councilor for the Asia-East Region, arrived at the international airport of Seoul-Gimpo. About 15 people, including Fr Stefano Yang, Superior of the Province of Korea (KOR), and members of the Salesian Family in South Korea, warmly welcomed the Rector Major. After lunch, the Rector Major visits the "Dae-Rim Dong" community, which welcomes and rehabilitates the children reported by the juvenile courts, and is called the "New Oratory of Valdocco in Korea" by the Korean Salesians. Before these events, Fr Á.F. Artime will meet several Korean journalists for interviews and official statements. During his visit, the Rector Major will meet at various times and places other Salesians, members of the Salesian Family in South Korea and, of course, the young, sharing with them the spirit of Don Bosco.
