Haverstraw, United States - August 2018 - This year the "harvest" of lay missionaries wassmall, but of good quality. Seven candidates started the three-week orientation program,which took place between the end of July and 17 August. During their formation, theyreceived information, visited Salesian works and performed service activities in the St JohnBosco parish in Port Chester, New York. Fr Tim Zac, Provincial, blessed and placed thecross on each of the lay missionaries. During the celebration the lay persons vowed to bemissionaries of commitment, hope and prayer.
