Haiti - Celebration of National School of Arts and Crafts
Port-au-Prince, Haiti - June 2018 - On 9 and 10 June, the Salesians of Haiti celebrated their country's oldest institution, the National School of Arts and Crafts (ENAM in French). Founded in 1936, ENAM is still faithful to its mission of forming honest citizens and good Christians. The event started with an Open Day on Saturday 9. Future students were presented with the opportunities of the ENAM school through the work done by current students and teachers explaining the various procedures and equipment used at the school. The following day the party continued with a gala evening at the headquarters of the Salesian Vice Province in Haiti with students' songs and dances and the screening of a documentary. Among the guests of honor: Mrs. Nice Simon, Mayor of Tabarre, Msgr. Sylvain Ducange, SDB, auxiliary bishop of Port-au-Prince, and representatives of the government and various institutions.
