Vatican - Pope Francis "Urbi et Orbi" blessing
Vatican City, Vatican - April 1, 2018 - In the traditional "Urbi et Orbi" message, at the end of Easter Mass in St. Peter's Square, Pope Francis began with "the beloved Syria whose population is exhausted by a war that does not see the end..." From here, the appeal to the "conscience of all the political and military leaders to put an immediate end to the extermination taking place, an appeal to respect the humanitarian drama and to facilitate the arrival of aid to which these brothers and sisters have urgent need, while ensuring at the same time adequate conditions for the return of its displaced people."
