Japan - First meeting of Salesians and lay collaborators of Japan mission
Tokyo, Japan - January 2018 - On 7 and 8 January, the first meeting of Salesians and lay collaborators of the mission took place, organized with the aim of listening, sharing dreams and problems and looking for a way to support each other in order to put into practice and fulfill the Salesian mission. 12 Salesian centers of Japan were represented at the meeting - 5 schools, 3 kindergartens, 1 kindergarten, 2 social assistance institutions for children and a publishing house - with 20 representatives of the lay collaborators of the mission and 14 Salesians, including Fr Mario Yamanouchi, Salesian Provincial of Japan.
