Veržej, Slovenia, January 2018 – Coming from eight Salesian centers from across Slovenia, about 80 teenagers and young people gathered in Veržej from 12 to 14 January to take part in the initial formation course to become Salesian animators. The youngsters studied Salesian youth spirituality, discussed various topics - the Church as a community, friendship with Jesus, responsible service, joy and optimism ... - and they learned about the Salesian activities of the various centers. The concluding Mass was presided by the Provincial, Fr Janez Potočnik, who invited everyone to cultivate friendship with Jesus through the sacraments and prayer.
