India - HIV and AIDS Awareness Program for young people
Mumbai, India - December 2017 - The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized a HIV and AIDS Awareness Program in which 65 young people from Mumbai's shantytowns took part. The coordinator of the Society for the Control of AIDS in the District, Vijay Ajanikar, chaired the session, assisted by DBDS health coordinator, Sunil Pandhare. The young participants were informed and made aware of the importance of prevention, the negative effects of infection, medical treatment and the stigma associated with HIV and AIDS.
