Italy - Promote necessary actions for rights of children and adolescents
Rome, Italy - November 2017 - On 20 November, on the 28th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, a key document in the protection and promotion of children's rights, the event "Project on the participation of the Council of Europe, coordinated by UNICEF Italy and the Interministerial Committee for Human Rights (CIDU), took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The International Volunteers for Development (VIS) strongly reaffirmed the need for a common commitment to ensure protection and security for all children and young people living in emergency locations, and emphasized the need for youth participation as an indispensable element in the fight against violations of the rights of minors.
