Tetere, Solomon Islands - July 2017 - On July 18, the students of the Don Bosco Rural Training Center of Tetere inaugurated the Rice Harvest Festival. It was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of China to the Solomon Islands, Dr. Roger Luo, his wife and a number of political and civil authorities. The rice harvest, which will be carried out solely by over 80 students from the Don Bosco Rural Center, will be completed by the end of the season and should amount to approximately 6 tonnes. Once packed, the rice will be partially sold; the rest will be part of the students' primary diet.
