Venezuela - BoscoBús helps street children
Caracas, Venezuela - July 2017 - The Red de Casas Don Bosco of the Salesian Province of Venezuela (VEN), in collaboration with the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Teens of Chacao, have created the BoscoBús program, which looks out for children who live on the streets and offers them medical, healthcare, education and psychological support. The mobile unit, consisting of a bathroom, a multipurpose room, kitchen and nursing room, carries out four stops in some parts of Caracas where street educators and social workers work with children to reintegrate them into society. The BoscoBús program was born in 2016 but has only started to take off in May of this year. So far it has helped 86 children, constantly assisted.
