Myanmar - Superior and Council of the Vice-Province of Myanmar on their visit to the Mission at Wa
Wa, Myanamar - April 2017 - The Superior of Myanmar, Fr Charles Saw, and his Council visited the houses of the Salesian mission in the vast region of Wa from 6 to 16 April. The mission started about 25 years ago. The delegation visited all three houses of the Salesian mission even though they are very far apart. With the help of several volunteers they run 6 primary schools with about 400 Wa ethnic pupils, The delegation examined ways to improve the educational activities and, as a result of this visit, it was decided to bring together in one centre all three Salesians in charge of the schools in order to form a community to coordinate the activities of the various missions.
