Yaounde, Cameroon - February 2017 – Since 1996 the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) of Yaoundé have been meeting the needs of the local population, working with poor children, young people and their families. They carry out their mission in a kindergarten and primary school with 350 pupils; a professional centre where hundreds of young people participate in the course of deli and café; a youth centre and an oratory. The FMA visit families and bring food to the most needy. In Yaoundé, there is also the house of formation in which some young people - 5 this year - are preparing for perpetual profession and devote their time to pastoral work and catechesis. The Salesian Missions Office in Warsaw has launched a project to support their work through grants.
