Brazil – Northeast Salesian Family Gathering
Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Brazil – March 2025 – The Salesian house in Jaboatão dos Guararapes hosted a gathering and council of the Salesian Family (SF), organized by Fr. Cleyton Coutinho, Provincial Delegate for the SF in Recife. Held from March 28 to 30, the event brought together representatives from the diverse Salesian presence in Brazil in an atmosphere of fraternity and shared mission. A parallel meeting with the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) fostered meaningful intergenerational exchange, strengthening ties between youth and SF groups. Motivational messages from Valdocco, where GC29 is ongoing, were shared by Fr. Francisco Inácio (BRE Provincial) and Fr. Joan Luís Playà (Central Delegate for the SF), reinforcing unity and shared mission. Formation moments were led by Frs. Anderson Alvelino, Giacomo Lucena, and João Carlos, focusing on SF identity, mission, and living the Salesian charism in a networked world.
