Malta – Savio Athletic Club Runner Sets National 400m Hurdles Record
Malta – April 2025 – The 400m hurdles took center stage at the Athletics Malta Challenge Meeting 3, where young athlete Jordan Pace delivered an outstanding performance, setting a new national record of 54.68 seconds, surpassing the previous 55.53-second mark held by Daniel Saliba since 2017.
At just 20 years old, Pace also secured the national Under-23 record, solidifying his rising status in Maltese athletics. His achievement is not only a personal triumph but also a reflection of the vibrant sports culture inspired by Don Bosco’s vision—where sports are a tool for education, character formation, and building community.
That spirit thrives at the Savio Athletics Club, a registered volunteer organization (VO/1077) based at Savio College in Dingli. What makes the club especially meaningful is the active involvement of its alumni, who return as mentors and co-educators, guiding new generations in the same environment that shaped them. Their presence fulfills Don Bosco’s educational dream: nurturing growth, discipline, and joy through sport, with community always at the heart.
