Portugal – Salesian Youth Movement Prepares for the Jubilee in Rome
Estoril, Portugal – March 2025 – Young people from the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) preparing to participate in the Youth Jubilee in Rome (July 28 – August 3) held a preparatory gathering in Estoril.
From March 14 to 16, the Salesians of Estoril hosted 120 young people who registered for the event. The weekend was filled with prayer, formation, sharing, and joy, strengthening the bonds among the pilgrims who will travel together to this global celebration.
During the event, participants deepened their understanding of the Jubilee’s significance, reflecting on themes such as pilgrimage, the Holy Door, indulgences, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the Church’s liturgy.
With young people coming from Madeira to Mirandela, the gathering was a true Salesian communion experience, organized by the National SYM Council to spiritually prepare them for this great pilgrimage during which they will hosted in facilities near Don Bosco’s major shrine in Rome.
