Myanmar – Conclusion of the 2024-2025 Academic Year at Don Bosco Philosophate, Pyin Oo Lwin
Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar – March 2025 – The closing day of the 2024-2025 academic year began with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Mariano Soe Naing, SDB, at Don Bosco Philosophate, Pyin Oo Lwin. Ten concelebrants, including regional superiors of the Franciscans (OFM), Servites, MSP (Missionaries of Saint Paul), and FMM (Franciscan Missionaries of Mary), along with Salesian priests from Anisakan who had taught various subjects, participated in the Mass. The prayers of the faithful were led by students in multiple languages, including Latin.
Following the Mass, a program of gratitude and appreciation was presented by student groups, featuring a PowerPoint presentation by Fr. Francis Zau Din on the students' academic and social activities. Certificates were awarded to 23 graduates (9 Servites, 2 MSP, 4 FMM, and 8 SDB) by the Rector of Don Bosco Philosophate, Fr. Bosco Aung Zaw Win, SDB. Next year, the institute is expected to welcome students from La Salette. In his closing remarks, the Rector encouraged graduates to transform their knowledge into wisdom for life. A celebratory lunch was offered to all attendees.
