Peru – XVIII Meeting of the Don Bosco Homes Assistance Teams
Cusco, Peru – February 2025 – With a strong commitment to hope and journeying alongside young people, the 18th Meeting of the Don Bosco Homes Assistance Teams began on February 13 at the Don Bosco House in Calca, Cusco. Delegations from across the Salesian Don Bosco Homes Network in Peru participated, with a total of 36 attendees. The objective of this training experience is to enhance the professional, personal, and charismatic development of psychologists, social workers, and educators working in Salesian homes. The focus is on strengthening their skills in supporting adolescents and young people in situations of exclusion and vulnerability. The first day included a Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Fr. Józef Kamza, Coordinator and Head of Salesian Social Works in Peru. For the opening of the meeting, Fr. Juan Pablo Alcas, Provincial Superior of Peru (PER), sent a message of encouragement and support. The initial sessions were led by Fr. Uriel Jáuregui, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry.
