Colombia - Salesian Youth Ministry and Mission Meeting of the Salesian Province of Medellín

Medellín, Colombia – February 2025 – From February 12 to 14, the Salesian Missions and Youth Ministry Meeting was held, bringing together leaders from all the Salesian institutions in the Medellín Province (COM) to reflect and receive training on evangelization in today's world.

Under the theme "In a world of challenges, Youth Ministry renews and strengthens itself", the event focused on the four fundamental dimensions of Salesian youth ministry:

Educational and cultural Faith education Community involvement Vocational guidance

The goal was to promote an integrated and updated pastoral action. Discussions included key topics such as implementing high-quality youth ministry, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the first Salesian missionary expedition, and defining guidelines for missionary work in today's world.

The importance of instilling hope in the new generations through Christ was highlighted, equipping young people with the spiritual and practical tools needed to face modern challenges.

The meeting also served as an opportunity to evaluate current youth ministry training processes and plan strategies for 2025, reinforcing unity and collaboration within the Salesian mission. With renewed enthusiasm, participants reaffirmed their commitment to proclaiming the Gospel and accompanying young people on their journey of growth and faith.
