Madagascar - Salesian Family Day and Presentation of the Strenna 2025
Ivato, Madagascar - January 2025 – As is he case every year, the presentation of the Strenna is an important moment for the entire Salesian Family spread around the world. And this is also celebrated during the Salesian Family Day. The Salesian Vice-Province of Madagascar and Mauritius (MDG) did not miss this great event for families, and a day of festivity and celebration was organised in each location. As for the MDG, and the FMA in the capital, the presentation of the Strenna took place on the Sunday of the Baptism of the Lord, 12 January, at the Notre Dame du Clairvaux Centre. The presentation was led by Sr Rasoamiafara Valérine, FMA and delegate of the Salesian Family of the FMA. After the projection of the Strenna 2025 video, she highlighted all the main concepts of the Strenna, providing details adapted to the current and local reality. It was a rich presentation, followed by debate and exchanges of questions and answers. The morning ended with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Father Luca Treglia, Director of the Community of the Centre Notre Dame du Clairvaux, during which the significance of the Baptism of the Lord for Christians and especially for Salesians was emphasised. The event was attended by all the groups of the Salesian Family present in Madagascar and all the lay collaborators.
