Vietnam – Meeting of the La Vang Delegation
La Vang, Vietnam – January 2025 – On 16 January, the Delegation of La Vang, Vietnam, met in the parish of Van Phuc to participate in the Thanksgiving Mass and the celebration for the end of the year according to the Vietnamese calendar, in an atmosphere of joy and unity. The ceremony was attended by the Bishop Emeritus of Thái Bình, Bishop Peter Nguyen Van De, Fr Thomas Vu Kim Long, along with Salesians, FMA, VDB, Salesian Cooperators, the Parish Council and the Catholic students of Hanoi. The event also offered the opportunity to reflect on Strenna 2025, “Anchored in hope, pilgrims with young people”. Finally, Bishop Peter Nguyen Van De presided at the Mass and, during the homily, expressed his concern at the challenges of modern society and invited the members of the Salesian Family to have more strength and courage to accompany and support young people.
