India - Salesian Jude Jojy ordained priest
Manimala, India – December 2024 - On 28 December 2024, Salesian Jude Jojy received the sacrament of orders according to the Syro-Malabar rite in the Holy Magy Forane parish of Manimala, Kerala, India. This priestly ordination is the response to a call from the Lord begun at the age of 15, inspired by the charism of Don Bosco. From his aspirantate in 2011 in Kerala, through the studies of Philosophy and Commerce, the new priest Jude Jojy showed an unshakable vocation towards religious life. In 2018, motivated by the love of Jesus and the desire to serve young people, he left his home Province of Bangalore, India (INK) to join the Salesian Province of the Antilles (ANT). His experience as a practical trainee in the Dominican Republic and his theological studies in Mexico strengthened his Salesian commitment.
