India – A spiritual milestone for the Salesian Province of Shillong, India: the priestly ordination of Jetendis Sohshang, SDB
Shillong, India – December 2024 – On 29 December, with great joy for the entire Salesian Saint John Paul II Province Shillong, India (INS), Salesian Jetendis Sohshang was ordained priest. Two other deacons, Jenes Syiemlih and Lampherlin Lyngdoh, were also ordained to the priesthood with him. The ordaining prelate was Bishop Wilbert Marwein, Bishop of Nongstoin. Fr John Zosiama, INS Provincial, was also present for the occasion, expressing joy and gratitude for the priestly ordination of Jetendis Sohshang. The event attracted thousands of faithful from all over the diocese of Nongstoin, with a special participation from the parish of Nongkasen, which also celebrated its Silver Jubilee.
