27 December 2024

Salvador, Brazil – December 2024 – Brazil is a country where movement, rhythm, history and culture merge. From the Amazon to the South, the diversity of Brazil translates into colours, music and dances that tell the stories of a people who know how to represent their roots. At the Colégio Salesiano Dom Bosco Salvador, this cultural wealth came to life through the Canta e Dança Brasil Dance Festival, which transformed the auditorium into a space to celebrate and connect with the country's artistic traditions. The performances explored a vast and diverse repertoire, covering ancient and contemporary styles that blend urban and traditional elements rooted in Brazil's cultural memory. Each choreography told a story and revealed pieces of the Brazilian soul, including references to popular festivals such as Carnival. For the students of the Salesian school, the Festival was an opportunity to highlight their talents, developing dance as a form of culture, education and entertainment.
