Brazil: Solidarity Activities by Salesian Missionary Childhood Youth
Porto Velho, Brazil – December 2024 – On December 23, children and youth from the Salesian Missionary Childhood (IAM) movement gathered at the “Our Lady of Fatima” Parish in Porto Velho to distribute food and toys to impoverished families living on the city’s outskirts. The gifts were received by those supported by the “Centro Sociale Madre Mazzarello” (CESMAZZA), run by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. Sr. Goreti, who oversees the initiative, expressed her gratitude to the young people for their gesture of solidarity. Also present was Fr. Sérgio Lúcio, the parish priest, who led a prayer of thanksgiving to God alongside all attendees.
