Democratic Republic of Congo – Goma welcomes the first Salesian Family Retreat: a moment of sharing and spirituality
Goma, DR Congo – November 2024 – On 10 November, the Don Bosco Ngangi Salesian work hosted the first Salesian Family, Goma Retreat for the pastoral year 2024-2025. The event began with the opening prayer led by Fr Kizito Tembo, followed by the Rosary animated by the members of ADMA. The highlight was the conference conducted by Fr André Kazembe on "Called into the Salesian Family to become saints". Fr Kazembe exhorted the members of the Salesian Family to live in fraternal communion, as true children of Don Bosco. He then insisted on the need to offer time for the good of young people. After the conference, the participants were invited to a moment of meditation, followed by individual confession, before attending Mass presided over by Fr Pascal Mumba Kati. Finally, Fr Dieudonné Sande, Rector of the Salesian work in Ngangi, invited all those present to cultivate better mutual understanding and esteem to strengthen the bonds of fraternity within this great family.
