Mexico City, Mexico – September 2024 - Fr Ivo Coelho, General Councillor for Formation, has met with the Provincial Council of the Salesian Province of Mexico City (MEM). On 18 September, in the meeting room of the Provincial House, the meeting took place in the presence of Fr Ignacio Ocampo Uribe, MEM Provincial, the Vice-Provincial and Delegate for Formation, Fr Carlos Barbosa Castillo, in addition to Fr Juan Carlos Guerrero Romero, Fr Javier Adolfo Rivas Zavaleta, director of novices and Fr Miguel Agustín Aguilar Medina who participated remotely by videoconference. During the meeting, Fr Ivo Coelho spoke about his Sector for Formation; he discussed issues related to the implementation of the "Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis et Studiorum", which brings together the principles and norms for the formation of the Salesians of Don Bosco, whose criteria and directives substantially highlight the profile necessary for the growth and development of the religious of the Congregation for young Salesians today; finally, the presentation of the state of Formation in the world and in Mexico.
