Venezuela – Fr Hugo Orozco to the community of Tariba: "In the name of the Rector Major I come with the heart of a father, a heart that loves his brothers and young people"

San José de Táriba, Venezuela – February 2024 – On Tuesday, 20 FebruaryFr Hugo Orozco, Councillor for the Interamerica Region, arrived in the Salesian community of San José de Táriba, State of Táchira, for another stage of his Extraordinary Visitation to the Province of Venezuela. In the first meeting with the Salesian community, those present immediately perceived a great fraternity from Fr Orozco’s simplicity, humility in speaking and the closeness. "In the name of the Rector Major I come with the heart of a father, a heart that loves his brothers and young people." On Wednesday 21st, the Regional Councillor met with the young people at the San José Work Training Center, giving them a very special "good morning" message: "Love your work, give your best in everything you do and learn; have ethics in doing so, to be upright citizens; and be supportive when you share with others, so that others grow together with you." Subsequently, Fr Orozco held a fraternal meeting with the Centre's animation team and in the afternoon he presided at the Eucharist with several representatives of the Salesian presence in Táchira. There were also cultural events in which children and young people demonstrated their creativity and a concert by the National Orchestra System and the Táriba Youth and Children's Choir. At the end, the Regional Councillor met with young leaders at the Don Bosco oratory and the Hogar Ciudad de los Muchachos house. On 22 February he concluded this stage, encouraging the Salesian community to continue the legacy of Don Bosco.
