Indonesia – The Salesians offer drinking water to the population of Gerak stations
Labuan Bajo, Indonesia – February 2024 - The population of Gerak stations is greatly helped by the Salesian presence, which has brought profound improvements to the lives of locals. One of these was to offer drinking water to the local population, who previously had to boil it or go and buy it in Labuan Bajo, which is tens of kilometres away. Now, however, the locals can go and pick it up in the Salesian community, where a special filter has been installed.
