Hong Kong – Celebration of the Feast of Don Bosco
Hong Kong – January 2024 – It is now a decades-long tradition that the House of Salesian Studies in Hong Kong invites the Holy Spirit" Seminary and all students and professors from the College of Theology and Philosophy of the Seminary to participate in the celebration of the Feast of Don Bosco. The joint celebration dates back to the time when the Salesians began sending their young confreres for joint formation with the Diocese of Hong Kong and other religious communities. Also this year, on 31 January, the Feast took place in the presence of Bishop Joseph Ha Chi-shing, Auxiliary Bishop of Hong Kong and Rector of the Seminary of the Holy Spirit, and of Salesian Cardinal Joseph Zen Ze-Kiun, who also presented his recent publication "Reflection on Lent". Several recreational activities were organised and those present had the opportunity to participate in the Vespers, chaired by Fr Domingos Leong, who will be CIN Provincial for the next six years. In addition, the staff working in the Youth Ministry and Social Communication Offices were also invited to the celebration. Their presence and their service made the entire event more joyful.
