Santa Cruz, Bolivia – 31 January 2024 - The Salesians in Bolivia began the Muyurina Educational City (Ciudad Educativa Muyurina in Spanish), in the city of Montero, on the occasion of the celebration of the liturgical memory of St John Bosco. The Salesians keep Don Bosco's charism alive thorugh a loving education of young people. This charism has taken concrete form with the start of the construction of the Muyurina Educational City, a project dedicated to knowledge, teaching and integral formation, designed to accompany the different educational stages: pre-school, primary, secondary, technical and university. The Muyurina Educational City will host about 10,000 students in an ecosystem that integrates nature with knowledge and architecture with technology, generating a productive movement towards the development of the integrated north of Santa Cruz. Fr Líder Justiniano, Superior of the Salesian Province of Bolivia (BOL), presided over the Eucharist, followed by the acts of representation together with Fr Marcelo Escalante, Director General of the Salesian work in Muyurina. The Feast of Don Bosco was attended by municipal and departmental authorities, teachers and administrators, students and parents who are part of this dream that is becoming a reality.
