Republic of Congo – Inauguration of the new building at the St Joseph’s novitiate for the Salesian Africa Congo Congo Vice-Province

Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo – January 2024 – The new St Joseph’s novitiate building in Brazzaville, belonging to the Africa Congo Congo (ACC) Vice-province, in the St John Bosco community, Massengo, was inaugurated on 19 January. The building, financed thanks to the generosity of the Rector Major, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, will allow a better formation of novices. The inauguration took place while work was underway for the Curatorium of the novitiate. The ceremony was presided over by Fr Aurélien Mukangwa, Superior of the ACC Vice-Province, with Vice-Superior Fr Sylvain Woto, Fr Kevin Vomi, the ACC Economer, and Fr Guillermo Basañes, Superior of the Central African Province (AFC), who blessed the new building. Also present were Fr Virgile Biyoghe, Novice director, and Fr Jérémie Louzolo, rector of Don Bosco Massengo, as well as various members of the Salesian Family.
