Niger – Salesian missionaries in Niger celebrate their first Christmas
Niamey, Niger – December 2023 – The Salesians of Don Bosco in Niamey, Niger, known as the "Niger-4", celebrated their first Christmas celebration in this city in recent days. On this occasion they had the opportunity to visit an orphanage run by the sisters and some young people of the parish. They brought gifts to the little ones and, subsequently, Mass was celebrated. In addition, the baptisms of some children from the local community were celebrated during the Christmas celebrations. For Salesian missionaries in Niger, who are striving to gain mastery of local languages and culture, this initiative is of great importance and promotes greater openness and new momentum in their missionary approach.
