Lima, Peru – December 2023 – In the first Salesian house in Peru, the Salesian Oratory in Rímac, an unforgettable Salesian celebration was held in recent days, involving over 250 people, to begin celebrations for the bicentenary of Don Bosco's Dream at Nine Years of Age. Along with the Superior of the Salesian Province of Peru, Fr Juan Pablo Alcas Michilot, there were also numerous young people from the Salesian Youth Movement, past pupils, animators, oratory members, families, students of the 2024 class at the San Francisco de Sales Institute and representatives of various groups of the Salesian Family in Peru. The Provincial, during the homily, thanked everyone for their participation and recalled that "we are all children of a great dreamer" and that in that dream "God whispers to us, telling us in our ears where the path to happiness lies." The day was enriched by moments of animation, musical performances and the screening of the short film "El Sueño de Don Bosco 0.9", made by the Salesian Centre for Social Communication.
