Tiruchy, India - October 2023 - Many young people gathered on Sunday 22 October 2023, at the Salesian work in Vilathikulam, to take part in the local meeting of the Salesian Youth Movement. The Youth Ministry of Tiruchy (INT) is divided into four zones: Madurai, Tiruchy, Salem and Tuticorin - in order to ensure better organization and animation for young people. The meeting on 22 October focused specifically on the Tuticorin zone and was led by the coordinator of that zone, Fr Felix Joseph SDB. During the day, young people were motivated to use their energy and talents productively, to consciously and constructively utilize the media to cultivate their intelligence. They were also led in group discussions to analyze their strengths and possible areas for improvement. At the end of the day, those present participated in a Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Fr Suresh Felix, the Parish Priest and the Rector of the Salesian House of Vilathikulam.
