India - Principals from North Bengal meet to discuss the School to College Journey
Siliguri, India - October 2023 - The Salesian College in Siliguri organized a session on national education policies on 17 October, for the Principals of schools in North Bengal and focused on the theme: 'Changing contours of education: From school to college'. The programme was inaugurated by Professor Fr Babu Joseph, Principal of the Salesian College in Siliguri and Sonada, who spoke of the importance for students to undertake good academic courses to facilitate immediate employment in the post-graduation period. The Salesian College in Siliguri currently has about 2,500 students from 20 states in India and neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal. While thanking the school authorities for recommending the students to enter the Salesian College, Father Babu honoured the headmasters with a traditional scarf, a memento and gifts.
